About Karlijn

I am Karliin, a proud single mother of a beautiful 14-year-old daughter.

My own youth exposed me to the dynamics of a complex, divorced family, where issues of personality and addiction were present. As a result, I learned at a young age how impactful such circumstances can be for your development.

Later, I had a long-term relationship with a partner who had narcissistic issues. This led me into an intense process, where I confronted my own challenges regarding emotional regulation, attachment, relationships, and self-image.

Fascination and perspective

At the same time, my fascination grew: what really happens to everyone who is part of such a system?

That question led me to the Borderline Foundation, where I was the national coordinator for many years. There, I discovered my talent for translating complex issues to the outside world, and for understanding the perspective of both the individual and their surroundings. I gave training sessions, lectures, and workshops, and found my passion for guiding and inspiring others.

It is often important to have insight into what is actually happening with someone who has personality issues. Not to adapt or show endless understanding, but purely to understand what lies beneath the behavior. Based on my personal and professional experience, I can help you find the answers to where certain toxic, defensive, or hostile behavior comes from.

Coaching

Today I guide people who, just like I did back then, are searching for their way within or after complex (family) relationships. Drawing from my personal experience, professional knowledge, and the training at the Jay Shetty School for Coaching, I help people find their way to insight and back to themselves.
